As a Jersey girl, born and raised, I truly understand the power of a well seasoned bagel. Let’s be honest, we have all been in line at the bagel store and eyeing the one bagel that has the most “everything” seasoning, hoping they pick that for you!
(I have caught myself in these moments becoming quite the bagel martyr. I find myself saying, “it’s okay, I didn’t even really want that one…it’s better off with someone else…” Look bagels are a way of life in Jersey and emotions run rampant, don’t judge me! haha)
Thanks to Trader Joe’s we can ensure we get the best everything seasoning every time! Bagel martyrs be gone! They have made a little bottle of magic called “Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend.” It is a bottle of all the seasonings that make this world a better place!
If that alone doesn’t make you excited beyond belief, then you need to throw the magic onto some avocado toast. Truth be told, I could put avocado on cardboard and most likely still think it tastes amazing. But this combo is seriously one of the best things I have ever had. It easily makes top 5 go-to breakfast recipes.
It allows you to have all the delicious flavor filled taste of an everything bagel without having to eat a bagel. Why waste all of those calories on the bagel when you can sprinkle the seasoning on anything and have the same effect?
Warning: this is the easiest recipe ever and may become the only breakfast you want!
- 2 slices of your favorite bread, toasted
- 1/2 of a ripe avocado
- Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning, as much or as little as you’d like!
Once you have toasted your two slices of bread, place them onto a plate. Then spread 1/2 of an avocado evenly onto both of the slices of toast. Finally, top your avocado toast slices with as much everything bagel seasoning as you would like. I think the more the merrier with this seasoning, but you can play with the amount and figure out how much you like!
Then sit back and enjoy the most delicious avocado toast ever!
