Happy International Woman’s Day!!! Purple smoothies are the best way to start the day off. I cannot thank the women in my life enough for the empowerment, confidence, and knowledge they have given me. The women in my family are the reason I know how to cook and why I believe in the power of sitting at a table sharing good food and good conversation. Today we should all think about the many women who got us to where we are and those who will take us where we are going!!! Thank all the strong women in your life and grab yourself a purple power smoothie!
– 1 cup of frozen berries
– 1/3 cup of coconut water (add more if too thick)
– 3/4 cup of fresh spinach
– 1/2 of an avocado
– 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
– 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed meal
– 1 scoop of Vibrant Health, Green Vibrance
– top with a few fresh berries of your choosing
Take all of your ingredients and place them in a high power blender or Vitamix and blend. It should take about 2 minutes to become completely smooth. If you find the smoothie to be too thick add extra coconut water or regular water! Pour smoothie in a glass and top with some fresh fruit!
